Ahoi! in Reinickendorf
Ahoi! in Reinickendorf
On Tuesday, 24 September, we performed our play Ahoy! in front of 75 third-graders as part of the Kia programme of the Reinickendorf district government.
The special venue for the performance was the impressive Monopol factory building in Reinickendorf. The anticipation was already great as we travelled through Berlin, and the historic location provided an extraordinary backdrop for our play.
After the performance, the children asked many curious questions - it was wonderful to see how enthusiastic and thought-provoking the play was. Such encounters remind us again and again of the power that theatre can unfold.
Thanks to the Kia programme, which combines art and education, we have the opportunity to reach children in Berlin with our plays and create creative learning spaces. We are grateful to be part of this initiative.
In addition to meeting the pupils, discovering the Monopol was also a highlight. This place inspired us as an ensemble and showed us how important special spaces are for creative processes.
