TheatreFragile as a guest at the Goethe Institute Cameroon
At the invitation of the Goethe-Institut Cameroon, the performance NJANGUI will be created from mid-September in Yaoundé - Cameroon under the artistic direction of Esseba Junior (Cameroon), Stafano De Luca (Teatro Piccolo, Milan) and Luzie Ackers (TheatreFragile, Berlin). Using masks, dance and puppets, 15 performers will dedicate themselves to the practice of njangui, an informal form of collective sharing and saving that centres on the community and is widespread in Cameroon.
We will reflect on sharing from different cultural perspectives and share our practice with the masks we have brought with us. We will embody NJANGUI and bring it to the streets of Yaoundé, Douala and Ebolowa.
Collected pictures and stories will follow in the travelogue from October!
