#relating forests - report

#relating forests - final report

'It was more than just the mask figure looking at us; it was nature itself. It looked at us, wondering what we busy creatures were doing in the forest. Its gaze invited us to see the forest in a new way.”

These words, spoken by a Norwegian visitor, summed up the quest that drove us to explore the concept of giving forests a voice through artistic expression.

We listened in the silence for the answers, the harmony and the dissonance. We immersed ourselves in the forest, seeking ways to let our art emerge alongside it. By pausing, we allowed the poetry of the place to find its voice.

The results of our search shall not remain hidden. We have documented our project in a detailed report and invite you to explore it with us. We have tried to capture the spirit of the project. The report navigates through personal reflections, interviews, poems and descriptions.

Our intensive collaboration with NOBA and Culture Éco-Actives partners has enriched and transformed our work.

You can find the report on archive.org.

What comes next?
With our STILL project, we will continue to sow the seeds of this engagement with the forest. We are planning exciting mask-making workshops to bring you closer to the forest.
We look forward to continuing the exchange, even beyond the official end of the project.
Please write to us with your impressions, questions and thoughts. How do our reflections resonate with your work? Are there any ideas you would like to explore further with us? We are eager to hear your perspectives.

We welcome feedback by email or wherever you can find us.

Thank you to everyone who has accompanied us on this journey.
