Interventions in public spaces at a distance and in contact

"body public space (how to meet in distance)" and "from here"

The current pandemic is once again calling conventional staging formats into question. Within the framework of 2 research grants, supported by the Fonds Darstellende Künste, TheatreFragile is looking for solutions to continue to be artistically present in the city despite restrictions.

body public space (how to meet in distance)

The project ‘body public space (how to meet in distance)’ is about public space and the visible and subcutaneous changes that have taken place during the pandemic. Away from the classic performances towards shorter forms that creep into everyday life in the city and interact dynamically with the location and passers-by.

from here

In the ‘von hier aus’ project, the artists Luzie Ackers, Marianne Cornil and Nicole Ratjen question existing plays from the repertoire of the joint company TheatreFragile, identify the particular strengths of the theatre form for the present day and develop variables that can be performed in the context of the crisis.

As part of the ‘From Here’ project, the artists are seeking an exchange with event organisers and potential clients in order to examine the feasibility of the proposals and work out performance options.
